Working Initiative on Children’s Rights Set for June 2012

We are thrilled to announce the World Forum Foundation’s Global Working Initiative on Children’s Rights, to be held in Moss, Norway, June 1-4, 2012. This first meeting will include 12-20 delegates from around the world. Goals include researching the work of existing groups surrounding children’s rights, determining the mission and goals for this Working Group and planning strategies for accomplishing these goals. We are welcomed to Norway by OMEP-Norway, Children’s Peace World and the American College of Norway. We plan to include a global project on children’s rights, for which we will invite the participation of the entire World Forum community.

Screen-Free Week Starts April 30

The Campaign for a Commercial Free Childhood has announced that Screen-Free Week 2012 begins April 30. The seven day, international celebration of playing, dreaming, nature, friends and family invites everyone to turn off entertainment screen media for one week, and turn on life! This year a Screen-Free Week Organizer’s Kit can be downloaded absolutely free.
