Mission
The World Forum Foundation has launched EC eTeaching to foster the effective use of technology to provide for the education of the world’s early childhood workforce.
History
EC eTeaching was launched at World Forum 2002 in Auckland, New Zealand with the gathering of 25 individuals involved with delivering promising practices in the use of distance education technology to educate early childhood professionals. They were brought together to learn from each other, to support each others work, and to identify practices that can be promoted to improve the education of early childhood practitioners world wide.
Subsequent meetings of EC eTeaching took place at World Forum 2003 (Acapulco, Mexico), Working Forum Belfast (2004), World Forum 2005 (Montreal) and now at Working Forum 2007 (Malaysia), World Forum 2007 (Malaysia), and World Forum 2009 (Belfast).
