I am a 29 year-old Filipino teacher and owner of a kindergarten called “Camelean Academy” which opened in 2007. We work with children from age 2.6 to 6.5 years old and offer a curriculum that utilizes a healthy combination of progressive and traditional approaches.
I finished my Master’s degree in Basic Education Teaching at the Ateneo de Manila University. I am a wife and (soon-to-be) mom and have been teaching since 2005. I am passionate about teaching children and I am willing to study again, do volunteer work and just continue improving myself to better serve not just children who attend my school but the less fortunate. Ultimately, my dream is to open a center for them in the Philuppines.
As a teacher and administrator, young and new at that, I try wearing different hats to fulfil what is expected of me. It is both overwhelming and fulfilling. Every success, disappointment, struggles and joy I charge to experience. I find pure joy in being with children and as I always say, I am a teacher first, before an administrator.
