Indigenous People's Action Group
A World Forum Initiative
At the 2009 World Forum on Early Care and Education, fifteen persons gathered from seven countries to hold the first ever Indigenous Peoples Action Group (IPAG) meeting. Participants met for two consecutive days prior to the World Forum to explore themes, such as the rebuilding of cultures, inclusion, young children and nature, and Indigenous culture in urban settings.
The group plans to continue its work, with the goal of holding a Working Forum on Indigenous Peoples in 2010.
