A Special Gift for 2019 World Forum Delegates

World Forum Meets Quilts for Empowerment

Our relationship began at the Sisters Quilt Show in Oregon  I met Mary Ann McCammon, Founder of Quilts for Empowerment, who was displaying small quilts made by women who are obstetric fistula survivors in Luanda, Kenya.  Friend Candace Chang inspired me to ask Mary Ann about creating delegate bags for Macao, and so it began.

In November  Mary Ann brought her colleague Christine Fox and Norah Otondo, Kenya Program Director, to our home for food, fun, fellowship, and planning.  World Forum Foundation has now contracted with Quilts for Empowerment to create beautiful, handmade delegate bags using African fabrics in stunning patterns and colors.  Thanks to the support of KinderCare Education, they are making one just for YOU!  Please do come to receive it.  Who will receive the first bag created?
